8 great gifts for the yoga-minded soul

Whoa. Less than two weeks ’til Christmas and Hanukkah is in full swing. If you’re like me you might, ahem, still have some (or all!) of your holiday giving left to do.

Today I’m sharing a round-up of 8 great gift ideas for the yogi and student of life in all of us. And they’re all $100 or less with over half the list under $50.

So go on, get giving (or share this with someone for some hints!)

1. Lifefactory Glass Water Bottle ($24.99)

This water bottle is hands down my favorite way to drink water on the go. No plastic-y or metallic-y aftertaste – just the pure clean taste of water. I especially love the new easy-open spout. No need to unscrew the cap each time you want some water. Great for hot yoga classes and keeping your body hydrated throughout the (holi)days.

2. Rebel Green Yoga Mat Spray ($7.99-$9.99)

Eco Friendly and sustainable mat cleaner made from essential oils. The company has a really cool sustainability mission too. From their site:

“Rebel Green Yoga Mat Spray uses certified organic oils specially formulated to keep your yoga mat clean and smelling good. Essential oils from coconut, jojoba, lemongrass, cedarwood, tea tree and eucalyptus have cleansing and therapeutic properties.”

3. The Slow Down Diet by Marc David ($10.17)

This is a phenomenal book that emphasizes eating slowly for pleasure, energy & weight loss. If you could only have one diet/nutrition book in your library, it should be this one. Easily digested and a true must-have for anyone even remotely interested in a better relationship with food, eating and their body.

4. The Building Blocks Basic Spanish Course ($100)

This is a great “experience” gift for someone who loves to learn. Christina’s course starts again in January and is perfect for anyone looking to learn Spanish for an upcoming trip or just to expand their horizons. She’ll walk you through the foundations of Spanish and have you reading, writing, and understanding Spanish in no time at all!

5. KLUTCHclub ($18.00 or less)

KLUTCHclub is a fun way to try the latest and greatest new products in the health, fitness and wellness industry. They offer boxes specifically gearted towards men and women. This would be perfect for the hard-to-shop-for male on your list!

6. Wisdom Mats ($65.00)

Your yoga mat is your own magic carpet. It should be free of toxic chemicals since you’re smooshing your beautiful face right up in it! Wisdom Mats are non-toxic, eco-friendly, super sticky, and free of latex, heavy metals and phthalates. And you get a mantra printed right on your mat for those days when you need a little extra reminder.

7. Leo Leggings from Cozy Orange ($53.00)

I was turned onto this company by a facebook friend and fellow yoga teacher… then I was amazed by the price – $53 for 4-way supplex stretch yoga pant (read, not just another cotton legging)! These pants are moisture-wicking with enhanced shape and color retention. Perfect for a sweaty mat session or with a cozy top + boots for a casual weekend.

8. Yoga*Life*Spark 21-day Online Yoga Course ($97 until 2013)

Why yes, of course, I’ll recommend my 21-day yoga course starting in January! I truly believe there is no greater gift you could give yourself or a loved one this holiday season than the gift of yoga. This course will introduce you to yoga step-by-step, connect you to your body, and promote a healthy start to 2013. If you purchase this as a gift, send me an email and I’ll be sure to send them a personal email on Christmas. Find out more here.

So there you have it – 8 great gifts for the yoga-minded soul on your list (you put yourself on your list, too, didn’t you?).

What gift(s) do you still need to purchase? Leave me a comment with your favorite featured gift!
